Instructional Design Models come in all shapes
and sizes. They are based on the belief that
training is most effective when it is purposeful
and provides the learner with a clear
statement of what they should be able to do
as a result of training.
The following is an outline of one of the most
common and easiest models to use; ADDIE
Analysis---This is the who, what, where,
when and why and includes determining the
foundational needs for the other steps.
Design---This is the planning stage where
you identify goals, objectives, learning steps
and the sequence and structure of the training.
Development---This stage is where training
materials and content are selected.
Implementation---This is where the trainer
gets to train!
Evaluation---This step includes evaluation of
training from participants as well as the
trainer. Here is where things are refined and
improved.
